Hi, I'm Maria. ♡
Casa & Chaos Co. started with funny little Spanglish thoughts—the things so many of us are thinking at work but definitely aren't putting in the email.
But underneath the jokes was something bigger.
Belonging.
I created Casa & Chaos for the bilingual girlies, the first-generation professionals, the Latinas building careers, earning degrees, walking into offices, courtrooms, classrooms, boardrooms, and spaces where we haven't always seen people who look or sound like us.
Because we belong in these rooms, too.
And we don't have to leave our culture, our language, or our humor at the door to prove it.
I can be professional AND Latina.
I can be educated AND say “no mames.”
I can sit in important rooms AND bring my culture with me.
I don't have to shrink one part of myself to prove the other belongs.
That's the Casa.
The belonging. The culture. The reminder that you earned your seat and you're allowed to take up space.
And the Chaos?
That's everything we're thinking while we're sitting in that seat. 😂
The “Respectfully…” emails.
The “jajaja, pa' no llorar” days.
The “Educada pero no mames” moments.
The cafecito, the Spanglish, the inside jokes and the little pieces of home we carry with us everywhere.
Casa & Chaos creates stickers, stationery, and everyday pieces that help you bring a little more of you into the spaces you've worked so hard to enter.
Because representation doesn't always have to be serious.
Sometimes it's a sticker on your laptop that makes another Latina stop and say:
“Wait... I say that too.”
And suddenly, neither of you feels quite so alone.
“The stickers are the product. Belonging is the brand.”
We belong here. And we get to laugh here, too.
